A Nottingham woman is to receive compensation for medical errors made when she was a baby 22-Feb-12

A 24-year-old Nottingham woman, who was left with cerebral palsy after alleged medical errors when she was a baby, has won a six-figure compensation payout. Stacey Jayne Smith nearly died in an operation at Nottingham City Hospital in 1988.
She suffered catastrophic brain injuries and was left with severe learning difficulties. The East Midlands Strategic Health Authority has apologised, and agreed to pay an undisclosed amount of compensation
