The City Council has defended using a high number of CCTV cameras 22-Feb-12
Nottingham City Council has defended its use of about 1,000 CCTV cameras, one of the highest in the country. Civil rights group Big Brother Watch said the city had more council-controlled CCTV than Leeds, Manchester and Liverpool put together. They urged the authority to withdraw cameras that hadn’t been used to secure a conviction in the past three years.
